Build a Fitness Body You Can Be Proud Of
This post is mainly aimed at men, although women are not excluded. For men, it can be difficult when they look in the mirror and are not happy with what’s staring back at them. Questions like where are all those bulging muscles? And why haven’t I got a 6 pack, go through their minds.
The fact is there is no easy way to get a body like the men that are seen at body building competitions, or are pictured in fitness magazines. Sure, there are many websites that say their latest product will make any man look like Mike Tyson within a matter of weeks with little or no effort in terms of exercise.
This simply isn’t true. Supplements can be used when trying to build muscle, but this is a very grey area. Every single human being is different which means they will react to certain ingredients in a product differently. Anyone who is considering using a supplement to help build muscle should make sure they take professional advice first.
That doesn’t mean just talking to other people at the gym, what they do might not be right for you. Speak to a professional who knows what they’re talking about. If they tell you a certain brand is the best on the market, do some research as well, check to see what sort of side-effects can happen, and read reviews by others who have used it.
Supplements aside, the only way to build a body you can be proud of is good, honest hard work. Weight lifting is a great way to build muscle, but this should also be done with care. If someone is working-out with weights for the first time, they should start small. Men are full of testosterone, and this can sometimes cause them to lose their way.
Seeing other guys at the gym pumping iron that’s in excess of 50lbs might lead a man to think he can do the same thing (just to save face). At all costs, this should be avoided. There have been many cases where guys have pushed “above their weight” when trying to build muscle, and this can lead to all sorts of problems.
Muscles need to be worked on slowly this is why I said it’s going to take time and effort to get the body you’ve always dreamed of. The shoulders are an integral part of weight lifting, and if it it’s taken too far, this can lead to injury and even shoulder surgery.
This won’t help because shoulder surgery will take a long time to recover from, and because of this, you will just end up back at square one, if indeed you can continue to build muscle using weights at all. The message is take it slow, don’t let the testosterone raging around the body take over, and be very careful about using supplements.
If done correctly, after a few months, looking in the mirror will be something any man will look forward to and not dread.
